Different web sites propose to buy used woodwinds. Woodwinds are the appliances where flute, oboe, clarinet and saxophone are included in. They are named woodwinds because in the Middle Ages when these instruments were manufactured people made them from timber. This kind of production is left in the past but some people still utilize timber in the structure of woodwinds. After the way of blowing the woodwinds are shared into two types: labial and lingual. In labials the air is blown into special lateral hole in the head of the instrument. Within the pipe the stream of air is cut in two portions with the edge. The sound emerges due to the vibration of air stream within the pipe. Flute concerns to this type of musical instruments. In lingual musical instruments the air is blown through the reed. Clarinet and saxophone concern to this kind and some types of rare instruments. Vibration is made with the help of the reed in lingual instruments that is placed on the top of it. There are 2 types of reeds too: single and double. A single reed is a thin cane lamina, which closes the hole in the mouthpiece of the instrument and leaves a narrow crack. Resonance of the reed serves to close and open the canal in the mouthpiece of the musical instrument. A double reed is composed of 2 canes compactly joined to each other.
